Historic Northland Cruise: a 5 day cruise exploring the coast of Northland visiting sites of historic significance. Since 1769, when James Cook weighed anchor in the Bay of Islands, events in the Far North during the following sixty years shaped New Zealand as a nation; culminating in the signing of the Treaty of Waitangi. A guest historian on board each voyage will explain key events that shaped this country and its nationhood. The trip starts from the Bay of Islands travelling to the stunning and remote Whangaroa Harbour via the Cavalli Islands. Cruises are run in May-June and Sept-Oct.
