Karikari Estate is New Zealands northern most winery, with a predominant planting of red grape varieties such as syrah, merlot and cabernet.
Northland is the birthplace of New Zealand wine, with Reverend Samuel Marsden planting the first vines in Northland in 1819. Just under 200 years later Karikari Estate Vineyard opened its doors to become New Zealands northern-most winery, located on the beautiful Karikari Peninsula. Karikari Estate is the sister company to Carrington Resort, where wine enthusiasts can stay in luxury lodge and villa accommodation, utilising the club cars to drive to the winery overlooking the resort, Karikari Beach, and out to the Pacific Ocean.
